Delaware City Fire Company, Ladies Auxiliary and family members, for the second year, supported the Delaware Special Olympics by participating in their annual plane pull event. Postponed from May because of weather, the team hard a difficult time getting members to participate, but the Delaware City fire company family again came through. 19 team members pulled the plane 12 feet in 10.71 seconds (last year's team pulled it in 10.26 seconds and had 18 members). The total weight for the team this year was 3,800 lbs (last year's was 3,780 lbs). Members are already laying out the game plan for practice for next year's plane pull (Chief - don't worry if you see rope tied to one of the trucks!). THANK YOU to all the members, some of such short notice, that came out to help "Team One-Five" again support the community with your time. You continue to be a class act!!
