At the June 2, 2010 Fire Company Meeting, the Delaware City Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary Member Cheryl Dennis were recognized by the Delaware National Guard Family Readiness Program. Member Bill Austin recently returned from another tour in Afghanistan. During his tour, our Members Activity Chairperson Cheryl Dennis sent several care packages from the membership of both the Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary to Bill and his unit. If you know Bill Austin, you know he is one of the friendliest and genuine people you will ever meet. Bill was very appreciative of our efforts and wanted to give back to both our organizations. Along with MG Frank Vavala, Adjutant General, CMSgt. Dawn Peet, State Family Program Director, Bill presented 2 Certificate of Appreciations to the Fire Company and Cheryl Dennis. The Officers and Members of the Delaware City Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary thank the Delaware Air National Guard and all those who represent our great country whether at home or overseas. They are all HEROES in our eyes.
