13:03hrs: Station 28/32 (Wilmington Manor), Engine 18 (Goodwill), Ladder 12 (Christiana) and Rescue 15 (DCFC) were dispatched to the Castle Brook Apartments for an L3 Multi-Residential Fire. Rescue 15 responded at 13:15hrs fully staffed. New Castle County Communications advised Engine 32-4 while en route to the above location that they had received a report of smoke in the building from an unknown apartment. Chief 32-8-C arrived on scene and advised to upgrade the alarm to "WORK" with a fire in the apartment. Ladder 18, Engine 12 and Rescue 20(Holloway Terrace) for the R.I.T., EMS units - BLS B-6, Medic 2 and ALS 23 were dispatched on the upgrade. Rescue 15 with a crew of 8 was assigned the RIT being first due Rescue Company @ 13:13hrs. Ground ladders were thrown to the Alpha and Charlie side of the structure by the crew of Rescue 15. DCFC firefighters were in service for 45 minutes.
