12:15hrs The New Castle Communications Center dispatched Station 15, Engine and Rescue 3,6,12 (Christiana) and Engine 32 (Wilm. Manor) for a house on fire on Emerald Ridge Drive. Chief 12-8-B(Lux) arrived on scene at 12:18hrs and advised that several trash cans were on fire with possible extension into the house. The home owner had arrived on scene and knocked most of the fire down. Engine 12-6 and Ladder 15-7 arrived at 12:21hrs with 1 hand-line being placed in service. Companies checked for extension and did some overhaul. The scene was made under control by Chief 15-8-C(Grimm) at 12:24hrs. Units were in service for 45 minutes. Apparatus on the box: Ladder 15-7, Engine 15-5, Chief15-8, Chief 15-8-C, Engine 12-6, Engine 6-4, Chief 12-8-B, Deputy 12, and Engine 28-5. Delaware State Fire Marshall FM22 investigated.
