During the 16th Annual DVFA and DVFALA Conference Opening Ceremonies on Thursday, September 16th, 3 members of the Delaware City Fire Company were awarded scholarships. Members Kyle Mench, Jamie Watson and Justin Lehman were awarded scholarships to help with their college tuition. Kyle Mench was awarded his scholarship from Delmarva Power, which was accepted by Past President Jasper Lakey. Jamie Watson was awarded her scholarship from the New Castle County Volunteer Firefighters Ladies Auxiliary Association, which was accepted by her parents Director Jim Watson and Secretary Deb Watson. Justin Lehman was awarded his scholarship from the Wilmington Manor Volunteer Fire Company. Congratulations to all 3 members!!
