Delaware City Holds Open House - Delaware City Fire Company

On Saturday October 9 of 2010 Delaware City Fire Company had our community open house. We had demonstrations including extinguishers, ropes/repel, and MVC (motor accidents). There was information from many organizations including the Delaware State Fire School, Firefighter Cancer Organization, Christiana Care's Helen Graham Cancer Center and booths from our membership activities and fire prevention. Some activities that day included blood pressure readings, moonbounce, DJ and mock minature house fire. We handed out many smoke detectors and CO detectors. We had hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels and sodas. We would like to thank all those who came out to support and learn about our fire company.
