Tonight 13 members including the SODE Ambassador to the NCC Fire Service Matt Montgomery attended the Wednesday Night Training which was a tour of the Formosa Plastics Plant.
We were met by site Safety Supervisor Ralph Thompson and EHS Manager Kim Bennett whom gave a short overview of the facility, the raw materials on site, the manufacturing processes, fire suppression equipment and discussed the roles that the Fire Company would be expected to perform.
We then went on a short tour of the Facility. Thank you to Formosa Plastics, Manager Bennett and Supervisor Thompson for having us out.
Before the tour started, Rescue Engine 15 was able to take in a Residential Gas Leak/Odor with Christiana.
