On Wednesday April 5, 2023, representatives from Christine Starr and Dan Young from Delaware Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) visited Delaware City Fire Company. Delaware City Fire Company has two Career Firefighter/EMTs who also serve in the Delaware National Guard. Firefighter/EMT James Elvey is a Specialist in the 1/126 Aviation Regiment and Firefighter/EMT Justin Holmes serves as a firefighter in the 166th Airlift Wing of the Delaware Air National Guard. We reached out to ESGR to learn more about how we can best support our members who also serve. Delaware City Fire Company signed a statement of support and pledged to assist our firefighters who also serve their country. We are grateful to have them as part of our team and for their service to our country!
