Vehicle Fire Threatening Structure - 71D3 - Kirkwood - St. Georges Road

On Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 15:33 hours, Station 15, Engine 29, Engine and Rescue 3,6,12 were dispatched for a vehicle fire threatening a structure inthe 4699 block of Kirkwood - St. Georges Road.

15-7 responded at 15:35 hours with a crew of 4 under the command of Career Staff Comley followed by 15-5 with a crew of 4 under the command of Assistant Chief Neel at 15:36 hours, Rescue 15 with a crew of 2 under the command of Assistant Chief Johnson at 15:38 hours.

15-5 arrived at 15:42 hours stretching a 5" supply line up the lane to the residence.  A tractor trailer was parked next to one of the buildings.  The homeowners attempted to extinguish the fire with a water hose and fire extinguishers.

Crew from 15-5 stretched one line into service and extinguished the fire.  Command placed the scene under control at 15:45 hours.

Crews from station 15 cleared the scene at 16:08 hours.
