3 Alarm Fire Destroys 24 Apartments - Brandywine Woods Apartments

A three-alarm fire has left 60 people homeless and caused around $1 million in damage early this morning in Bear.
The fire was reported at 1:45 a.m. at the Brandywine Woods apartments just east of Del. 1 at U.S 40.
Firefighters from as far away as New Jersey and Pennsylvania responded to the blaze. The fire started in building No. 6. Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio said from the scene that 24 units were affected, and about 60 people. He said it would take a couple of days for investigators to determine the cause of the fire. Firefighters were still on the scene as late at 08:00am this morning.
