Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firemen's Associations 113th Annual Convention

Members of the Delaware City Fire Company traveled to Chambersburg, PA for the 113th Annual Convention of the Cumberland Valley Firemen's Association. Vice President Mike McMichael, Rescue Lieutenant Don Havens, Past Chief Rob Costango, Ladies Auxiliary Past President Ivy Costango, Honorary Members Mike Cook and Steve Austin, Deputy Chief Wally Poppe, Cadet Member Will Poppe joined the Watson Family, Secreary Deb Watson, members Tori and Jamie Watson as we supported our very own Jim Watson as he presided over the Annual Conference.

The Officers and Members of the Delaware City Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary would like to congratulate Jim on his year as President of the CVVFA. Jim, Deb and family traveled many miles throughout the 5 States that makes up the CVVFA.

At the Installation Banquet on Friday night, President Watson presented an appreciation plaque to the Delaware City Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for their assistance to Jim during his years going through the chairs.

Also during the Banquet, Cadet Member Will Poppe received The Chief Gary “Happy Jack” Easton Youth Leadership Award as having current and future leadership potential in the fire service who displays the leadership attributes that "Happy Jack" identified and promoted.

Vice President McMichael and Deputy Chief Poppe also received the "Traveling Plaque" that we will hold until the 114th Annual Convention that Delaware City is hosting.

On Saturday, Marine Lieutenant Bill Sahm and member Kyle Lester brought TSU-15 for the parade. Vice President McMichael announced that we won 3 parade awards.
