Waldemar holds the positons of Fire Chief, Director, and President Emeritus. In the past, He has held the positons of Fire Chief, President, Deputy Chief, 1st Assistant Chief, Director, 2nd Assistant Chief, Engine Captain, Rescue Lieutenant, Board of Director, and Ambulance Captain. He also serves on the By-Laws, Long Range Planning, Web Site, Historians, Monument, Staffing, NCCVFA, and DVFA committees. He also has been awarded the Chief Emeritus Charles Neel Award, President & Chief Member of the Year Award, President Emeritus Harry Bright Memorial Award, Chief Arthur B. Hope Heroic Firefighter of the Year Award, Chiefs Award, New Castle County Fire Chiefs Association Presidents Award, New Castle County Volunteer Firefighters Association Presidents Award, Delaware Volunteer Firefighters Association Hall of Fame, and Delaware State Ambulance Association Heroic EMT of the Year Award awards.

Joined the Fire Company on December 3, 1980. Past President New Castle County Fire Chiefs Association 1998. Past President New Castle County Volunteer Firefighters Association 2015.
