Membership Family Hayride - Lester Farm - Port Penn

Friday night November 7 was a perfect night for a hayride and bonfire. The Delaware City Membership Activities Committee sponsored a family hayride and bonfire at the farm of a member’s uncle. After a ride on a hay wagon to the bonfire site - 31 members and their children spent the evening roasting hot dogs and smore’s over a campfire (although we did have a loss of 10 hot dogs because someone didn’t know the proper use of the grill basket). The night was rescheduled due to being raining out from the original date. The Delaware City Fire Company would like to thank Jay & Debbie Lester for the use of their tractor, wagon and farm for our hayride, we really appreciate it. Also thanks to Kyle Lester for getting the bonfire site ready and driving us on the tractor to the bonfire and Ryan Pedrick for driving 15-0 to the bonfire and standing by with it to extinguish the fire at the end of the event.
