At our Fire Company Meeting on December 3rd, our State Senator Bruce Ennis delivered a Senate Resolution to the Fire Company honoring the Fire Company for receiving the Leo R. Schwartz Volunteer Emergency Medical Service of the Year given annually by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians. Also at our meeting Chief Engineer Bob Neel was given his Unit Citation Award from the May 12, 2008 River Rescue Nor Easter. Finally, President Wally Poppe joined by Past Presidents Ed Kalinowski and Mike McMichael and Board of Directors Chairman Charles Neel THANKED outgoing Secretary Laurie Smith for her 9 years as Secretary. Laurie did not seek re-election this year.
