On May 5, 2022 at 2:26pm, Odessa Fire Company and Delaware City Fire Company were dispatched to Route 1 Southbound at Route 301 for a commercial vehicle fire. Squad 1 was in the area and responded as well. Crews arrived to find the cab and engine compartment of a tractor trailer involved and quickly extinguished the fire. There were no injuries and Assistant Chief Sands had Route 1 Command.
