Fatal MVC - M29D4

At 05:41 hours Station 15, B6 and Medic 2D were dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Accidenr with ebtrapment in the 800 Bkick of Cox Neck Road.  Deputy Chief Wally Poppe arrived on scene at 05:44 hours confirming entrapment with a rollover and requesting station fire police and DelDot to close down Cox Neck Road.  Assistant Chief Brian Reeder arrived at 05:47 hours, made access to the vehicle and advised a DOA. 

B15, B6 and Rescue 15 with a crew of 2 made the response.  C15 which was on another run made the response from CER.  Deputy Chief Poppe assumed Delaware City Command and requested the next due rescue.  Tanker 29 was on a fire alarm and made the response for manpower.  Medic 2D arrived and pronounced the patient.  Command requested for Trooper 4 to responde to check the area for a possible 2nd patient.

DSP requested that the patient not be removed from the vehicle until the Fatal Accident Investigation Team was on scene and conducted their investigation.  Trooper 4 checked the area with negative results.

Command placed the scene under control at 06:05 hours with C15, Rescue 15 and Tanker 29 standing by for the Medical Examiner.  Patient was extricated at 08:55 hours and the scene was turned over to DSP.
