On November 28, 2022 at 7:49 am, fire and EMS resources were dispatched to Route 1 Southbound at the Roth Bridge for a motor vehicle collision with rollover. Crews arrived to find a multiple vehicle with a total of three patients. One patient was treated on scene by DCFC EMT's, NCCEMS, and a DSP Trooper Medic before being flown to Christiana Hospital in serious condition. The second patient was assessed by Odessa EMTs and NCCEMS and was transported by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in stable condition. A third patient was assessed by Odessa EMTs and declined to be transported. Delaware State Police are investigating the collision and Chief Fitzwater (Odessa) had Delaware City Command.
