On July 22, 2023, Fireboat 15 along wtih rescue boats from Goodwill, Chesapeake City, and Lower Alloways NJ were dispatched to a reported boat explosion with people in the water in the C&D Canal in the area of the Maryland Line.  The occupants were able to jump overboard and were rescued by jet skiers prior to fire department arrival.  Middletown units began attacking the fire from land until Fireboat 15 arrived and completed extinguishment.
