MVC involving a school bus - (M29D1B) - River Road SOUTH of Hamburg Road

At 07:11 hours Station 15, Medic 6B and B6 were dispatched for a motor vehicle crash involving a school bus on River Road SOUTH of Hamburg Road. Additional information reported the school bus was off the roadway leaning on its side. A-29, A-18 and Medic 5B were dispatched at 07:12 hours. There were reported approximately 40 children on the bus and initial report was 3 minor injuries. Off Duty Career Staff Ken Getty was on scene, confirming the location and advised 5 children and 1 adult injured. Chief Rosseel arrived at 07:21 hours and assumed Command. Command advised there were 8 children and 1 adult transported by B-15, A-29, B-6 and A-24 to CER. A-18 and M6B transported one to CER. Command placed the scene under control at 08:04 hours. The remaining children boarded another bus and continued on to Gunning Bedford Middle School. Rescue 15 cleared the scene at 08:27 hours.
