Back on November 3, 2010 before the regular Fire Company meeting the Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary dedicated 2 trees in the memory of Cindy Terp and Michelle Smith. Cindy Terp was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for 12 years. Cindy continued to be active with the ladies during her illness and till she passed away on February 12, 2002. Michelle Smith was involved in a fatal hit and run accident in the line of duty on December 22, 2008. Michelle was a member of both the Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary. Surrounded by Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary members, family of both Cindy and Michelle unveiled the memorial bronze plaques. DVFA Reverend Bob Hudson traveled from down state to officiate the dedications. Special thanks to the City of Delaware City and the Cutting Edge Lawn Service for donating the trees and Reverend Hudson for officiating.
