On February 20, 2024, at 8:04 pm, Delaware City Fire Company and surrounding departments were dispatched to the unit block of North Dragon Drive in the Kingsmill Trailer Park for a residential structure fire. Crews arrived to find fire showing from the front door of a single story residential trailer. The fire was quickly extinguished and searches were negative. There were no civilian or fire service injuries. Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the fire and Chief MacKenzie had Delaware City Command.
