Since 1887 our members have been keeping Delaware City and the surrounding communities safe and healthy. But we need your help to continue our mission. DCFC is a combination fire department made up of volunteer members, part time employees, and full time employees, all of whom work together around the clock 365 days a year. Volunteer Membership – Volunteer Membership is broken down into three categories

  • Active EMS
  • Active Fire
  • Administrative Member

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older

Probationary Period: All new members will be on a one year probationary period. Any probationary member who has served in another Fire/ EMS Service may have the Fire School requirements waived with the provision of copies of official training records.

 


Cadet Membership – Cadet Members participate in training, begin learning how to become a firefighter and EMT, and assist with company functions.

Requirements: At least 14 years of age

 


Ladies Auxiliary

Requirements: Ladies Auxiliary Members must be 18 years of age or older

 

Junior Ladies Auxiliary – 

Requirements: Must be between the ages of 14-18
