In 2023, the Officers and Members of the Delaware City Fire Company, No. 1, Inc. conducted an extensive review of the state of the firehouse, equipment, staff, and resources we receive from the County, State, and individual donations. Based on the review, we created a list of needs to include equipment, apparatus, and staff and prioritized the list based on the National Fire Protection Agency’s requirements, restrictions, and certifications necessary for us to provide the highest quality of services to our residents.
A 25-year-old plus Air Compressor that allows us to fill our SCBAs with breathing air so our staff can enter a burning building or enter an atmosphere that could immediately be dangerous to their life. The costs of replacing our air compressor are more than $70,000.00

To ensure that our fire company meets all National Fire Protection Agency requirements, we are setting our Capital Project Fund Drive goal at $100,000.00. With your tax-deductible donation, you would be helping us purchase needed equipment that will allow us to continue to serve and protect you. Attached are copies of the mailers that have been sent out to the residences and businesses in our district.
