MVC with Entrapment - S. Dupont Highway and Red Lion Road

Station 15 and A-12, Medic 6A and Trooper 4 were dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Crash with entrapment at S. Dupont Highway and Red Lion Road.  A-12 arrived on scene (as per a lengthly voice mail left by off Duty Career Staff Ken Getty) with a 2 vehicle accident with heavy entrapment of a Toyota Camry.  Crew from A-12 (consisting of Ken Getty and Allen Roush from the voice mail message) and 2 firefighters from Kent County placed the hurst tool in service from A-12 starting extrication.  A-12 advised the Fireboard of a trauma code at 13:41 hours.  Rescue 15 under the command of Rescue Captain Speakman arrived assuming Dupont Highway command and the crew from Rescue 15 assisted A-12 with the extrication efforts.  Medic 6A and A-15 arrived and initiated care to the patient in the Dodge Stratus.  Engine 15-5 arrived and assisted the crews with extrication and debris clean-up.  Command reported extrication complete at 13:46 hours.  A-12 and Medic 6A administered care to the entrapped patient who was flown to CER via DSP Trooper 4 and Paramedic 603.   A-15 and Paramedic 626 transported the other patient to CER.  Command placed the scene under control at 13:49 hours.

Note:  The intersection has been the scene of several accident through the years and if you notice in the pictures, new traffic signals are in place to be used in the very near future.
