Engine Assist on Working Residential Fire - January 8, 2008 - Forest Knoll

On Tuesday, January 8 at 12:53 hours, stations 3,6,12, engine & ladder 28, 32 and engine 15 were dispatched to a Residential Fire at 4 Bushwick Drive in Forest Knoll for reported smoke in the house. Fire Police 6-9C arrived on scene at 12:59 hours with smoke showing and immediately upgraded the alarm to a working alarm. Stations 18 and 7, 8,9,10 were dispatched for a ladder and RIT response respectfully. Deputy 6 (Roush) arrived on scene and took command. At 13:06 hours, Command committed engine 125, engine 32-4, 1st due truck (Ladder 28) and utilized 15-5 for the RIT. 15-5 under command of Firefighter Brandon Speakman arrived on scene with a crew of 5 at 13:06 hours and set up as the RIT. Command notified the communications center at 13:12 hours that they were making progress, primary search complete with negative results, doing a secondary search. There were reports of second floor side A has a weak floor. Command placed the scene under control at 13:29 hours with 15-5 clearing the scene at 14:08.
