Fire Prevention visist by Gunning Bedford Students - Station 15
February 13, 2008
Today about 8 students from Gunning Bedford Middle School visited station 15 for a Fire Prevention Class and tour of the facility.
Students were shown the fire apparatus and were able to sit inside the apparatus and were shown the different types of equipment that we use.
The students were shown how the "jaws of life" and the "o" cutters are used. T
They were given a tour of the facility and each was given a fire prevention packet along with the customary red plastic fire helmets.
The students enjoyed themselves and it was a pleasure for them to stop by!
Thanks to Engine Captain Brett Neel, Career Staff Sam Boots, Career Volunteer Josh Sinex, Firefighter Pete Hallett Jr. and Chief Engineer Bob Neel for their assistance.
