It is with a very heavy heart that the Delaware City Fire Company announces the passing of Fire Policeman (15-9C) Vincent F. Malloy. Vince has been a member since November 1997. He currently served as one of our Fire Police and a Board of Director. Vince served as our Bar Co-Chairman, ordering and picking up our supplies whether it’s for the fire company or auxiliary, participating in our fire prevention program, driver for our ambulance and as a fire policeman. Vinny or Vinny Mac as we called was a dear friend to all of us at Delaware City. He was such a pleasant person who would do absolutely anything he could for you, all you had to do was ask and he would do it 110%. Not only was he loved by our fire company, the O’Donnell Family held a special place in his heart as Lew, Denise and their children always looked out for Vince and was there for him all the way to the end. He was well known around town as his visited the local eateries daily and would be put to the work at Wiso's giving Kathy Wisowaty a hand cleaning tables when she was busy. This was the type of person Vince Malloy was. Always willing to help others, no matter what! We have lost a truly special person from our fire company family and we will never forget Vinny!
