Quint 15 Officially Placed into Service

Chief Wally Poppe notified the 911 Center that as of 18:00 hours this evening, Station 15 is placing in service their 2019 107 Foot Pierce Ascendant Aerial Ladder.

Delaware City took delivery of Quint 15 on December 31, 2019 and has since then seen over 60 Active Crew Members, Career Staff and Part Time Staff as well as 12 members of the Port Penn Fire Company attend over 770 Training Hours in preparing us for this day.

Quint 15 has 450 HP Cummins L9 Engine, Allison 5th Gen 3000 EVS Transmission, 480 Gallon Water Tank, 20 Gallon Foam Tank, 2,000 GPM Waterous Pump, 800' 4" Hose, 300' 3" Hose, 650' 13/4" and 200' 2" Hose. 

Quint 15 will carry an Battery Operated eDraulic Hurst Tool and Cutter, Battery Operated Bullard Fan, 2 Battery Operated Streamlight High Density Lights, 2 Gas Powered Honda Generators, 3 STIHL Saws as well all other required equipment.  We still have a few items that we are waiting to be delivered but not enough to keep it out of service.
