Stations 15/29/53 Combined Staffing Efforts

October 15, 2020

During the extended Water Rescue at Lums Pond State Park, Delaware City and Port Penn Fire Companies combined manpower at Station 15 to cover both Fire Districts.  We also handled a 2nd Emergency BLS Run in District which brought back 2 off Duty Career Staff and a special call for assistance to Station 53, Leipsic Volunteer Fire Company.

Chief Poppe made the callback of Career Staff Sam Boots and Quint Boots and also asked if they could supply a Engine Cover up while the manpower was depleted at Delaware City.  Station 53 had an Engine out of service but was willing to send manpower up to man our station.

Deputy Chief John Newman and Part Time Staff Kevin Turner from Port Penn also staffed Station 15 with Deputy Chief Newman serving as the Chief Officer for both districts.

A pre-scheduled EMS Standby was also staffed with our QRS Unit over at Fort DuPont for the Annual ABC Contractors Event from 430pm -800pm.  This event had over 200 people in attendance.

Special Thanks to Chief Joey Marker of the Leipsic Volunteer Fire Company for allowing those members to come up and help us provide In Station Staffing as we all know #StaffedCrewsMatter.
