On Wednesday, February 7th at our monthly meeting, several members were recognized who were unable to attend our Annual Awards Banquet on Saturday, January 6th.
Past President Paul Johnson was recognized for his 35 years of service.
Director Don Stamper Sr. was recognized with the Harry Bright President Emeritus Memorial Award for his dedicatio the past year. Pop Stamper [which he is know by around the station] had put countless hours in at the station doing so many small things around the station that we cant possibly list all of them. He was always willing to meet with vendors during the daytime hours and assisted with setting up several larger projects. None of this wouldve been possible if we didnt have someone like Pop Stamper willing to step up and assist the fire company and ladies auxiliary when ever asked.
Pop Stamper was also recognized by Chief Allan MacKenzie for over 500 hours of station staffnig the last year. An outstanding accomplishment when you think that most of the time he was there, he was working on something.
Finally our Administrative Assistant, Ben Adams was recognized with the Presidents Award. Since being hired, Administrator Adams has been able to streamline our entire Administrative side of things from our Quick Book entries, payroll, setting up new payroll accountability software, almost paperless purchase order verification as well as so many other administrative things for our membership. He has been very involved in grant writing and representing the fire company at public and private events. We are very fortuante the we have someone like Ben working for us.
Congratulations to everyone that was recognized. We cant do what we do without all of you.
