DCFC Trains with New Holmatro Tools

May 07, 2024

Last night Delaware City Fire Company had the opportunity to train with our newly purchased Holmatro Pentheon rescue tools. These new, state-of-the-art pieces of equipment replace 20+ year old hydraulic rescue tools. With changes in modern vehicle construction and materials, these tools provide our responders with greater capability to handle serious crashes. Last year, Delaware City Refinery supported DCFC with funds to purchase a new Holmatro Pentheon O-cutter. The O-cutter has already proven itself with a number of serious extications. The additional tools include a set of spreaders as well as small and medium sized rams with ram extensions. Patt Grubb from ESI Equipment, Inc. provided instruction on the features and capabilities of the tools and then crews had a chance to get some hands-on training with some acquired vehicles. These new tools will be in service by the end of the month once mounting has been completed.
