1st Annual Muster and Firematic Flea Market - Governor Bacon Center

May 06, 2012

On Sunday May 6, 2012 Delaware City Fire Company hosted its First Annual Muster / Antique Apparatus Show and Firematic Flea Market at Governor Bacon. To kick off the festivities, Fireboat 15 was dedicated in ceremonial fashion at 10am at the boat ramp. Shortly thereafter, the displays were open, 15-4 was supplying water for those that wanted to show off their antique apparatus in action as well as fire a deluge nozzle in the middle of the parade field. Our Special Ops truck was used as a central point for the sale of 125th anniversary items as well as refreshments. All of the food was provided by the Cadet Committee and cooked by them as well. Thank you to all for the effort that was put forth to get this event off the ground. DCFC Fire Police Dennis Layton Sr and Keith Leaman controlled access at the entrance as well as Jasper Lakey. It was a good beginning and an event that we plan to have again next year.
