At the monthly meeting of the Delaware City Lions Club on June 27, 2012, the Lions Club presented their Annual Donations to the Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary. Also during the meeting, Ladies Auxiliary Member Katie Poppe was the recipient of the Lion Clifford Hall Memorial $500.00 Scholarship. Also during this meeting, the Lions Club presented their Annual Awards and two Lions Club Members were presented with their 50 Year Membership Plaques, Robert C. Janiszewski Sr. and Edgar Saxton Jr. Both of these gentleman are also 50 Year or more members of the Fire Company. Lions President Gerald Montgomery also present the Lions of the Year Award to Phillip A. Cruchley and Robert C. Janiszewski Sr. Mr. Cruchley is also a 50 Year Member of the Fire Company. During this meeting the Officers of the Lions Club were installed and Fire Company Members, Charles Neel, Edgar Saxton and Joe Tharp were installed as Officer, Congratulations!!! Our congratulations to the Lions Club Members on their continuous support to both the Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary and to Edgar, Bobby J. and Phil on their well deserved prestigious award recognition.
