On Thursday, April 16th, Fire Company members, President Wally Poppe, 1st Vice President Mike McMichael, Directors Jim Watson and Harry Bright, Secretary Deb Watson, Past Presidents Jasper Lakey and Ed Kalinowski, 2nd Assistant Chief Brian Reeder and Marine Captain Bill Sahm attended The National Fire and Emergency Services Symposium / 27th Annual National Fire and Emergencey Services Dinner at the Washington Hilton, Washington, DC.

Before attending dinner, the Delaware Delegation was greeted by Senator Tom Carper and then by Vice President Joe Biden.  VP Biden was introduced by DVFA President Tony Guzzo.  VP Biden gave about a 15 minute speech and then was the keynote speaker during the Annual Dinner.
