New Castle County Commuications alerted companies this morning for a multi-family dwelling fire on the 500 block of Cherry Street in Old New Csstle.  Deputy Chief Mullen signed on scene with smoke showing which alerted the RIT Assignment.  Engine 155 staffed with 5 personnel under the command of Assistant Chief Matt Netsch responded to the staging area @ 6th & Delaware St.  The initial companies had made quick work of a second floor bedroom.  Our services were not needed and we were made available by command.  The fire is under investogation by the State Fire Marshalls Office.
