Busy Day - Delaware City & Christiana Locals

Sunday, November 4 started a busy day for station 15. At 06:52 hours, the NCC Communications Center dispatched Station 15 and Engine 29 for a travel trailer on fire behind the rental office of the Delaware City Mobile Home Park. Duty Chief Netsch arrived on scene and advised the Communicaiton Center to reduce the assignment to Enigne 15-4. When the occupant exited the trailer, the wind blew over a candle setting fire to the paper /material that was on the kitchen table. The occupant was able to extinguish the fire before our arrival. At 10:54 hours, Station 15 was alerted for and engien assist Christiana on a mobile home fire at 272 Conrwell Drive in Glasgow Court Trailer Park. Deputy 6 (Roush) arrived on scene with smoke showing. Engine 15-5 under the command of Asst. Chief Poppe responded with a crew of 6 and was instructed to stage on Salem Church Road as crews from Christiana were able to quickly extinguish the fire. At 14:28 hours Station was alerted again for an engine assist Christiana with a residential fire at 2225 Dickens Court. Christiana units arrived on scene with smoke showing. Engine 15-5 under the command of Asst. Chief Netsch responded with a crew of 6 and assisted with exposures. During this incident, 15-5 was made available and reponded to a mvc along with B-15 with subject trapped on Pulaski Highway in the area of Bob Evans Restuarant. Crew from 15-5 assited with extrication. It was also a busy EMS day as both ambulances ran a total of 10 EMS runs, not to mention during the day, there was the 2nd day of the EMT-B Refresher Training, Cadet Training on search and rescue and a EMS Standby for a 5K race in Town. During the days events over 24 members responded. Thank you to all who paricpacted in a busy day.
