Arlon Industrial Fire

Around 10:30 Tuesday evening, the Delaware City Fire Company was initially dispatched for an automatic fire alarm at Arlon facility. Withing three minutes, workers on scene had called and reported a fire inside a large industrial appliance. 15-5 and 15-3 made the response with Assistant Chief 15-8B as well as multiple mutual aid departments. 

Units arrived on scene to find heavy smoke conditions inside the building with the fire contained to the oven. 15-8B arrived on scene and established the Delaware City Command, Several handlines were placed in service to extinguish the fire and crews worked to ventilate the structure after extinguishment. 

Delaware City and mutual aid units operated on scene for several hours for extinguishment, ventilation, and clean up. Once the building was ventilated adequately, the scene was turned over to facility staff and units returned to service.
