Sunday was a beautiful day for Delaware City Fire Company's Family Picnic, after being postponed from Saturday due to weather. Approximately 80 members and their families showed up to enjoy a time of relaxing and play. Members enjoyed socializing with each other, while the children played on a water slide. Members and their children participated in a variety of games and the second annual family softball game was played (although due to the postponement the Chief and the President were not there and so neither were able to claim victory this year). The day ended with a dip in the pool at the home of Ladies Auxiliary Member Christine Reeder and her husband Brian. Thank you to Valero for the use of the picnic grounds again this year!
