Stations 15, 3,6,12 were dispatched for a tractor-trailer on fire on S. Dupont Highway / Route 1 NB at 23:45 hours. 22-9B arrived on scene at 23:46 advising tractor-trailer fully involved. At 23:47 Stations 4,24 were alerted to assist. 2nd Assistant Chief Bob Grimm assumed Command and requested DelDot for the ice conditions and for the product that was already on the roadway. Command also advised of an extended cleanup, requesting a front-end loader to assist. At 07:33 hours Command advised the roadway was re-opened after the contents of the trailer were off loaded into roll off dumpers.
