January 17, 2010
On January 17th the Delaware City Fire Company held a drill on the banks of the C&D Canal which consisted of a standard cab truck, simulating two patients entrapped and one that had been ejected. The drill was commanded by Rescue Lieutenant Wade Bendler and was overseen by the rest of the company line officers. There were approximately 26 active members in attendance including probationary and senior members. The drill took about 30 minutes to complete and then the rest of the morning was spent giving our probationary members an opportunity to get some hands on training with the hurst equipment.
