Large Fuel Spill - (59C1) - S. DuPont Highway - Bear Creek BP

Just after midnight, Station 15 (DCFC) along with Station 30 (Belvedere) were dispatched to the South DuPont Highway at the BP Gas Station for a large fuel spill. Units arrived on scene to find over 100 gallons of diesel fuel on the roadway from the saddle tanks of a tractor trailer. Crews from Rescue 15 and Hazmat 30 removed the diesel fuel from the roadway. Volunteers from both companies were in service for over 2 hrs. Fire Company units on scene: Rescue 15, Chief 15-8, Chief 15-8B, DCFC Fire Police and HAZMAT 30 DNREC officials were also on scene.
