Inland Water Rescues - Kingsmill Trailer Park / Claymont / DuPont Highway

02:17hrs: The Delaware City Fire Company was alerted for a Marine Rescue Unit response to assist the Claymont Fire Company on a L1*stranded Motorist in High Water on Carpenter Station Road. Special OPS 15 with 15 Marine 2 and TSU 15 made the response. Both units were cleared while and en route to that location. 02:30hrs: Station 15 and Station 29 for MRU 29 / 29 Marine 2 was sent to Kingsmill Trailer Park for multi-residents stranded by high water. Units arrived on scene with flash flood conditions. Several people were evacuated from their residents. 05:30hrs: Station 15 Marine Rescue Units were sent to DuPont Highway and Dragon Run for a L1*Stranded Motorist in High Water. MRU 15 removed one person from their vehicle. Firefighters from Delaware City were in service for over 5 straight hours before returning to quarters. In 24 hrs Firefighters / Emergency Personnel responded to over 15 incidents in the Delaware City and surrounding areas. The Chiefs office thanks the members and Ladies Auxiliary who assisted with all of the emergencies through out the storm.
