Residential Chimney Fire - 69D7 - Cox Neck Road

At 12:35 hours Station 15, Engine / Rescue 29, Engine 6 were dispatched for a Residential Chimney Fire in the 600 Block Cox Neck Road. Rescue 15 arrived on scene with smoke showing from the eves. Crew from Rescue 15 made access to the garage area where they found the fire in the wall from a wood burning stove with extension to the ceiling / roof areas. At 12:49 Command requested upgrade to working alarm due to extension attic and moments later the tanker task force (this stretch of Cox Neck Road is non hydrant area). Crew from 29-4 opened up the roof area verifying the spread of the fire. Additional hand line was stretched from Rescue 15 to the roof area as this was being done a supply line from Tanker 29 was stretched to Rescue 15. Command placed the situation under control at 13:14 hours returning the Tanker task force. Units responding: Rescue 15, 15-7, 15-5, 29-4, Tanker 29, 6-6, 12-6, B-6, Ladder 18, Rescue 24, Tanker 24, 32-4, Tower 27, Medic 5C, ALS25, FM14, FM18, FM29. Engine 20-5 covered station 15.
