At 01:36 this morning, Station 15 was alerted for an engine assist to Christiana on a residential fire. Prior to responding, the alarm assignment was upgraded to "work". 12-6 went en route and received the report of fire in a bedroom with the 911 center receiving multiple calls on the incident. 15-5 responded momentarily after 12-6 with a crew of 5. 12-6 arrived on scene as well as Deputy 6 and reported fire showing from the residence. 15-5 arrived and secured the water supply for 12-6, and also placed a second hand line in service. The fire was quickly knocked and all searches proved negative. Units were on scene for several hours overhauling and ensuring all hot spots were extinguished.
