Busy Day for Delaware City

Thursday, May 3rd turned out to be a busy day for Delaware City.  The responses started with and Engine Assist to New Castle on a Commercial Structure at 00:13 hours.

The next response was for a Disabled Vessel in the Delaware River in the area of Reedy Island in Port Penn's district at 11:52 hours. 

At 13:29 hours we were alerted for a Rescue Engine cover assignment Odessa, Station 4 while they were battling a 2 Alarm Townhouse Fire.  Rescue Engine 15 cleared the cover assignment at 15:50 hours.

A Medical Assist for a Diabetic Patient in Delaware City was dispatched at 14:02 hours.  TSU15 made the response.  A18 and Medic 10D transported the patient to Christiana ER.

An assist the Delaware City Police Department was requested at 15:16 hours to extinguish a control burn in the Delaware City Mobile Home Park.  TSU15 responded and extinguished the control burn.

An Engine assist Christiana was dispatched at 15:36 hours with Squad 15 making that response for a High Life Hazard Structure Fire at the Rockwood Apartments.  The incident was placed under control before Squad 15's arrival.

16:44 hours a Commercial Fire Alarm was dispatched for the Advo Services Group Home on Kirkwood St. Georges Road but 2nd call advised a false alarm and Squad 15 returned.  While Squad 15 was returning, A15 and Medic 10D were dispatched for Chest Pains on 5th Street and Squad 15 responded to assist A15 and Medic 10D.

The final response was for a Commercial Fire Alarm at the Delaware City Library at 21;13 hours.  158 and Squad 15 made the response and once a key holder arrived, crews investigated and silenced the alarm in the basement.  Scene was turned over to Delaware City Police.
