Rescue for Injured Hunter

On Saturday, January 19th at 12:15 hours, Station 15 and Trooper 4 were alerted for a rescue for a Injured Hunter on the Canal Banks at the Michael N. Castle Trail.  A hunter was attempting to drag a deet over a frozen pond when he fell on the ice injuring his leg.  A15, Rescue Engine 15, TSU15, Gator 15 and Deputy 15 made the response.  Station 29 was alerted for Argo29 and Engine 12 also made the response.  Trooper 4 arrived on scene and was able to locate the injured hunter and lead the ground units to him.

Once the ground units made patient contact, the crews were able to put the injured hunter into Trooper 4's "screamer hoist" and then was able to hoist him in the air and transport him to A15 and ALS27 at Southern Elementary School which he was then transported to CER by A15.
