Assist Wilmington Manor with a Residential Fire with Entrapment

On May 13, 2024 at 9:37 am, Delaware City Fire Company was dispatched to assist Wilmington Manor Fire Company on a residential structure fire with entrapment. Crews arrived to find a first floor fire with three civilians trapped on a rear deck. First due companies quickly knocked the fire and the civilians were rescued via ground ladder and transported to the hospital. Rescue Engine 15 served as the RIT company and operated for approx. 45 minutes. A-15 transported one of the patients with NCCEMS and Chief MacKenzie assisted with command functions.
