Monday, December 9th, 8:31 AM:

Station 15 received a call reporting black smoke coming from the Mount Salem UAME Church. The on duty crew advised the caller to contact 911, and made the response. Squad 15 and 15-8 arrived on scene, and found a malfunctioning furnace putting off the black smoke. Power was cut from the furnace, and further investigation found no fire. Crews on the roof worked to remove the smoldering soot from the chimney. 15-8 had the Delaware City Command.
