Engine Assist Building Fire - 69D5 - Christiana Local - Liberty Terrace Apts.

Station 15 was alerted at 17:43 hours for an Engine Assist Stations 3,6,12 on a building fire at Liberty Terrace Apartments. Engine 15-5 responded with a crew of 6 under the command of Rescue Captain Mench. On arrival, 15-5 reported to the "B" side of the structure and pulled a back-up hand line into the structure. The crew then threw ground ladders on the "A" and "B" sides of the structure while others staged in the stairwell with the hand line. The fire was extinguished and EMS evaluated several patients. Both A-15 and B-15 responded to the scene. The station then responded at 18:07 hours with 15-4 with a crew of 5 for a Engine Cover Assignment for Station 6 under the command of Assistant Chief Johnson. While on the cover assignment 15-4 responded to a MVC ay Bear Christiana Road and Hares Corner Road. 15-5 clearing up from hr fire scene also responded. Scene was placed under control and 15-4 returned to station 6. A total of 18 members responded which included an additional crew at the station.
