At 16:02 hours Wilmington Fire Department requested for Fireboat 15 and Fireboat 20 to respond and assist with a large mulch pile on fire at the Port of Wilmington.

Fireboat 15 made the response with a crew of 5 and assisted with fire suppression efforts from the Christina River.  Fireboat 15 stayed on scene until 20:15 hours.

This was the first response for fire suppression duty for Fireboat 15.  Crew consisted of Assistant Chief Paul Johnson, Firefighters Jerry Brennan, Albert Schrack, Mike Cole and Lance Shoemaker.
